As November winds down, my deadlines are fast encroaching. Despite the odds, I’m mostly on track to finish everything! Though all of the open calls I was planning on submitting to this month decided to gang up on me and all have deadlines on the 30th of November, I’ve mostly beaten them through planning. Who would have thought it?
Certainly not past-Hannah. She was going to become an author… eventually. I’m so glad that I decided to kick my own ass and actually persue my own dreams! I’m very tired, but I’m keeping on keeping on.
For those of you who have been following me for a while, I hope you enjoy the new look! I decided the blog needed an update and a spring clean… or a winter clean I suppose. there’s now even a way to email me, so if you want to collaborate, or need a writer for something, there’s now a way to let me know!
I quietly participated in NaNoWriMo this year, and I’m very pleased to say that I finished! This is the first time I have ever succeeded, and it’s a wonderful feeling. I’m giving myself Decemeber to edit it into something useable, but Seventh Daughter is officially written! What a sentence that is.
In other news, I won a fun little award from Writer’s Digest for one of my shorts. I’m still planning to query it to other places, however, so I won’t get into too much detail here.

In watch this space news, Hush, Don’t Wake the Monster is now available for pre-order, containing a short piece written by yours truly. If you like sapphic romance with a healthy dosing of horror or works inspired by Stephen King, check it out!
My partner is also here! We met just as the world closed down for the pandemic, so having him in the same room as me is still a treat. Though it’s noticably much harder to concentrate when he’s on my couch, I wouldn’t trade him being here for the world.
December feels like it should be a wind-down for work, but in actuality, it’s shaping up to be the busiest month of 2022 for me! Hopefully everything works out.
